Learn the history

Inspired by Emmanuel and made possible by the generosity of partners like The Pippin Project, Newobe Outreach, and donors Haroon Ata and HaulDash LLC. This initiative is another important step towards our mission of connecting the dots between education and career. With desktops, smart boards, and printers on their way, students who have never had access to technology before will have the opportunity to learn and thrive.

We partnered with PPG this year to expand to Greensboro, North Carolina. Using our approach to the Next Gen Access Crisis, nearly 600 students and teachers at Pilot Elementary participated in an interactive co-lead Experience with industry leaders in their classroom. Students were challenged to own their possibilities through creativity, problem-solving, critical thinking, and presentation skills while developing a mindset for leadership in 21st-century careers. Throughout the day, students built and pitched their best balloon-powered race car.

In partnership with Frame, PPG, CMTC, SoCal Gas, and SoCal Edison, students at Hillview Middle School brought dreams to reality by sketching, planning and designing their version of the future classroom. The Experience occurred over a one-week time frame, culminating with a Pitch of their “Why” and an explanation of how the classroom will be used. In addition to sponsoring partners, students shared their designs with superintendent and various district leaders.
