Citywide Effort

For the first time since COVID, colleges, career pathways, and industry leaders will gather under one roof for a city-wide expo designed to connect LBUSD students and families with the opportunities that shape their futures. This dynamic, hands-on event is the result of a powerful collaboration between Long Beach Unified School District, S.T.R.E.A.M. Kids Expo, Long Beach Mayor Rex Richardson, the City of Long Beach, the Long Beach College Promise, and other key partners — all committed to making college and career exploration engaging, equitable, and inspiring. Event Details

Discover what's possible - college, career, and future opportunities...all at the Long Beach College & Career Expo! 
   - Connect with over 150 colleges and universities
   - Explore career options with dozens of companies in aerospace, health/medical, skilled trades, and more!
   - Students can experience hands-on demonstrations and interactive booths
   - Support your student in making informed decisions about life after high school

Date: Tuesday, October 21, 2025
Time: 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: Long Beach Arena | 300 E Ocean Blvd., Long Beach, CA 90802
Cost: Free to attend
Parking: $5 at the Arena Parking Garage on Seaside Way/S Hart Pl. Cash or card is accepted. 

This event is open to middle school and high school students and their families. Registration is not required. 

Bus Shuttles:
Bus shuttles (park and ride) are available for free at 5:00pm, 5:30pm, and 6:00pm from the following LBUSD high schools:

  • Cabrillo

  • Jordan

  • Lakewood

  • Millikan

  • Poly

  • Wilson

There will be four return times from the arena: 7:00pm, 7:30pm, 8:00pm, and the final return time at 8:15pm.
Students/Minors must be accompanied by an adult to ride the bus shuttles to and from the event. 

Additional Information:
For Public Safety, all entry into the Long Beach Arena constitutes consent to search. Please review the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center's Code of Conduct for a list of prohibited items. 

Please note: High school students have the opportunity to attend during the day (2 - 5pm) as a field trip. Please check with your high school's Pathways & Business Engagement Facilitator for more information.
